eraQuilt（caori）

パッチワークキルトを制作する母の姿を見て育ち、家にキルトがあることは当たり前の風景でした。

何十年経っても失われない母の作品の温かみを原点に、
「世代を超えて長く大切にされるもの」を願い、一点ずつ手仕事で制作しています。

色やステッチを重ねるのではなく、
あえて抑え、選び取ることで生まれる静かな美しさ。

黒や濃紺を軸に、ときに別の色を差し込みながら、
幾何学の構成を静かに組み立てています。

針目を丁寧に重ねることで陰影が生まれ、
角度や距離によって表情も変わります。

強い色や光で際立たせるのではなく、
影が生む余白を大切にしながら、
暮らしの中で静かに佇むキルトを目指しています。


I grew up watching my mother create patchwork quilts,
and having quilts at home was a natural part of everyday life.

Inspired by the warmth of her work, which remains unchanged over time,
I create each piece by hand with the hope that it will be cherished across generations.

Rather than layering colors and stitches,
I value a quiet beauty that emerges through restraint and careful selection.

Working primarily with black and deep indigo tones,
I occasionally introduce subtle variations of color,
gently composing geometric forms.

By carefully layering each stitch, shadows begin to emerge,
and the expression shifts depending on angle and distance.

Rather than relying on strong colors or light,
I value the space created by shadow,
aiming to create quilts that quietly exist within everyday life.
